"The smallest amount of merit dedicated to the good of others is more precious than any amount or merit devoted to our own good" -

Je Gampopa

About Me:

My name is Lucy Gauzelin and I have been practicing Complementary Therapies since 1999. I became interested in this as my vocation as I have a long standing interest in Health and Fitness, specifically Martial Arts and Yoga, dating back to my mid teens. I have always had an interest in more natural ways to aid imbalances within the body, leading me to study Anatomy and Physiology, Massage and Aromatherapy.

During my time studying Martial Arts I became injured. I found that Sports Massage and Yoga helped me within my training and think I couldn't have carried on training without it. Due to this, it deepened my curiosity more in Anatomy and treatment, so I went on to study Sports Massage from there. I also went on to gain my black belt and study to be a self defence instructor.

For the first 7 years of my career I worked in London, from Central London to the outskirts. I now practice in Essex and East Anglia. During this time to present, I have always worked closely with other fields of therapy, such as McTimoney Chiropractors, Kinesiologists, Nutritionists to name a few. This has been a great help in diversifying my knowledge and build a network of contacts for clients to use should another form of treatment is more suited.

I have additional knowledge in practices such as Crystal Healing and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I also hold a practitioners diploma in Pregnancy Massage, Thai Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reiki and Lava Shell Relax and Rescue Massages.

I then studied for a Meditation Tutor Certificate, as through experience I have found that the mind body connection is pivotal to all the work that I do, plus I have meditated for many years now through my study of Yoga and Martial Arts plus other means. I use guided meditations within my therapies, as well as courses of meditation skills for members of the public to gain an understanding of how to meditate for better health and to lower stress levels.

After 20 or more years of Yoga practice, I studied and passed my Yoga Alliance 200hr diploma at Camyoga in Cambridge. This completed my dream from my teens to become a Yoga Teacher. Yoga to me personally has saved me from more injuries and stresses than any other discipline and I have been singing it's benefits for most of my adult life. With all my therapy knowledge and knowledge and experience of Yoga, I can now bring this experience to service you.

I am regulated, insured and a member of the Federation Of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and a member of the Institute of Health Fitness and Sports Therapists (MHFST).

The knowledge of therapies is an infinite one. I hope to carry on expanding my knowledge to offer you the best and up to date service that I can to help with any concerns of your holistic health.
